SIGGRAPH 2001 – Day 2

SIGGRAPH 2001
Picture Page 2

So I lost a filling on the plane and I had to find a dentist in the yellow pages.

They were very nice at Algeria Dental and took good care of me, we also got to see a lot of the city by cab.

Across the street from the dentist, can you find the typo?

Back at SIGGRAPH I saw an amazing bit of technology. These are force feedback teddybears. If you move the arm on one, the arm moves on the other bear and visa versa. As I hold it I can feel the movements of the other bear. It was very very kewl and a real vision of the things to come about distance tactile communication.

Major Damage is finally out and Kellie-Bea told me to watch. I can’t wait to see the fruit of their labors.

I don’t know who this is but I took her picture because someone else was having trouble with their camera, if they email me I will 1) Post the name and 2) send them the high-res pictures.

The origami desk allows you to step by step create origami works and use security type radio tags to track progress, a great idea that will probably spread.

Look a CASTLE!! I am so excited.

Look its DOUG! Well its not surprising he is here every year.

After we went to Venice beach (but the pics are all film) and to the Lightwave users group meeting, but don’t worry there will be more tomorrow.

That’s It, I’m Tired!!
