eMagin Corporation, a manufacturer of active matrix OLED-on-silicon displays, and Fifth Dimension Technologies (5DT), a developer of virtual reality solutions, announced that five new products from 5DT are equipped with eMagin's OLED displays. 5DT's new products deliver virtual reality experiences for several key training applications:
-- 5DT Head-Mounted Display 800-40 (HMD) - employing two eMagin SVGA 3D displays with head-tracking capability and a 40 deg field of view (FOV) for simulation and visualization
-- 5DT Virtual Binoculars 800-45 Custom - for use with ship bridge simulators, air traffic control simulators, and observer post training
-- 5DT Virtual Laser Range Finder 800-45 (V-LRF) - for training troops how to use and apply laser range finders in combat
-- 5DT Virtual Night Vision Goggles 800-45 (V-NVG) - for training pilots in the use of night vision equipment for flying
-- 5DT Virtual Monocular Display 800-45 - for operational environments such as maintenance and field support where hands- free operation is desired or required
5DT will be demonstrating their new products in Booth 1062 at SIGGRAPH 2004 Conference and Expo in the Los Angeles Convention Center from August 9 to August 12.
